Over the period, the Mission visited Mandirs in Georgetown, East Coast and East Bank Demerara, West Bank of Demerara, West Coast Berbice, New Amsterdam, Corentyne, Essequibo Coast and the Essequibo Islands of Leguan and Wakename. The final phase of the event includes mandirs along the West Coast Demerara and East Bank Essequibo. At these sessions, Swami Prakashanandaji delivers the lectures with peculiar clarity, touching on various nuances contained in the Holy Geeta. In his absence, competent teachers of the Mission, viz., Aachaaryas Devji and Ginaji, conducted the presentation.

The Bhagavad Geeta forms part of the Prasthaana Traya Grantha (Scriptural Trinity)—the authoritative texts in Hinduism—the other two being the Upanishads and Brahma Sutras. It is universal in scope and addresses the human challenges towards self-discovery, pointing out the impermanence of the material world and the final goal of human birth of attaining Mukti—One with the Supreme Self. The Geeta is a dialogue between Lord Krishna and the representative human disciple, Arjuna. It has 18 chapters and contains 701 verses written in Sanskrit.

Chinmaya Mission is a worldwide organisation specialised in the teaching of the Hindu Scriptures from the Advaita Vedanta school of thought. It was founded by Pujya Swami Chinmayananda in 1951 with its current headquarters located in Mumbai, India. The mission has over 300 centres worldwide. In 2023, the Mission was established in Guyana.
