Dear Editor,
Sri Hanumaanji’s life synthesizes all paths to Mukti
The Sanatan Vaidic Dharma Pandits Sabha, Region 3 noted with great delight the increased activities across the country in observance of Sri Hanumaan Jayanti over the weekend. We pray that this holy observance of Sri Hanumaan Jayanti, brought to us the divine grace of Sri Hanumaanji and that we are inspired to continue the preservation of the glorious Sanatana Dharma and to aid our individual devotion to Lord Sri Raama. This blessed occasion honors the birth of the Sri Hanumaanji, whom we love and worship as equal to Bhagavaan Sri Raam.
Sri Hanumaanji epitomizes the highest ideals of the Sanatanee culture and demonstrates in his own life the synthesis of all paths leading to Paramaatma in the form of Lord Sri Raama. Humility, unshakeable commitment and impenetrable loyalty to Lord Raama were foremost in his life. These are the ideals the human struggle to embrace in both spiritual and mundane endeavours. Hanumanji expressed these effortlessly and won the favor of Bhagavaan Raama.
The major paths to Mukti taught in the scriptures—Karma, Jnana and Bhakti Yogas have been synthesized in Hanumaanji’s life. He was a true Karma Yogi—he worked selflessly for the Lord. After single handedly entered Lanka, located Mother Seeta, delivered Raam’s message, waged battle and burnt Lanka after been set alight by Ravana, Sri Hanumaanji when asked by the Lord how such a feat was possible, he fell at the Lord’s feet in tears and said, “it was all due to your grace, my Lord”. As a Jnana Yogi, he is renowned as ‘gyaan guna saagar’—knowledge as immeasurable as the ocean. He realized his Absolute Self—Shivahood. Hence he is regarded as an Avataara of Shiva.
Amongst all the paths, his life and worship are prominently defined by Bhakti to Sri Raama. He is the ideal Bhakta-devotee. When asked by Lord Raama how he could be rewarded for locating Mother Seeta, he asked for nothing other than continuous Bhakti at the Lord’s feet. We love him, we glorify him, we worship him. May his divine grace be with us all.
Yours sincerely,
Sanatan Vaidic Dharma Pandits’ Sabha, Region 3
