I write to commend the launch of The Hindu Media Guyana (THMG)—Guyana’s only Hindu news site. This is a welcomed initiative for the Hindu and Guyanese communities. According to the website, the vision is, “to be a progressive source for reliable news and authentic information on Hinduism and Guyana”.
I would like to encourage all—Hindus and non-Hindus in and out of Guyana to take full advantage of this project and refer to it for authentic and reliable information and news on Hinduism and Hindus. There are special categories of news and information being carried by the publication including amongst others, Bhagavad Geeta, Hinduism, local and global Hindu news and columns expected to feature the writings of prominent Hindu scholars.
In addition, it is pleasing to note a letters column as yours truly is utilising here. Certainly, this will allow the highlighting of pressing issues and successes of the Hindu communities to have a formal media space to be expressed.
In essence, one cannot help but congratulate the publisher and wish the entity every success.
