Tuschen Phase 2 Mandir broken into and vandalized
Members of the Sanatan Omkar Mandir located at Tuschen Phase 2 Housing Scheme are now traumatized at the desecration of the Mandir’s altar. The grisly discovery of a shattered Murti was made today by members who had gone to make preparations for weekly worship.
THMG spoke with the president of the temple who related that members who went today to prepare for the evening’s prayer service, discovered the heinous scene. According to him, it was noticed that entry was made through a window. He related that the window’s grill was prised out.
The president informed that the donation box is missing and the Murti was found smashed. He indicated a report has been made to the Tuschen Police Outpost and ranks visited the scene, dusted the area of entry, took statements and photos. He told THMG the police informed him the investigation is continuing.
The mandir’s president noted that this is not the first time the mandir was broken into recalling the last time was as recent as last year.
