Amaya Milk Company launches Havan Ghee

Amaya Milk Company has launched Havan Ghee, a new addition to its line of milk products. A release from the company dated March 26^th, 2025 described Havan Ghee as “a premium, 100% pure cow ghee prepared in strict accordance with Vedic principles”. Noting that the Ghee is free from additives and preservatives, the firm emphasized that, “Havan Ghee is designed specifically for religious offerings, embodying the essence of purity and tradition”.

Omkaar Sharma, CEO of Amaya Milk Company, shared the inspiration behind the latest product. He said, “I was unaware of the shortage of pure cow ghee until a delegation of Hindu priests approached me and asked if we could help. I know there are some excellent ghee available on the market, but none is specifically made for use in puja. Understanding this need, I took it upon myself to produce a true Havan Ghee”.

Importantly, the company’s release highlighted the religious consideration behind the production process of Havan Ghee. It noted, “Our ghee is made once a week using 100% pure cow milk. It is prepared on separate equipment by a single individual on their fasting day, ensuring it meets the highest spiritual and purity standards. This level of quality is rare in commercial production, and while it limits our output, our ethos at AMC has always been to focus on important products where we can truly make a difference, and I see this as a continuation of this mission”.

Amaya Milk Company is located at Plot AM Onverwagt Public Road Plantation Onverwagt, W.C.B and produces milk and milk products. The company entered the Guyanese market in 2023.
