Chinmaya Mission Guyana Bhagavad Geeta Grand Finale celebrations postponed

Chinmaya Mission Guyana has postponed the highly anticipated Grand Finale of the 108 nights Bhagavad Geeta Jnana Yajna which was scheduled to be held at the Gandhi Youth Organization on Saturday May 3rd.

In a post on the Mission’s official Facebook Page, the Mission encouraged all devotees, followers and mandirs to stay tune for future announcements. It further noted, the Dosa Day at the Ashram, a fund raiser scheduled for May 4 has also been postponed.

Additionally, the Mission has shared information on all major upcoming programmes and activities and encouraged all to take advantage the opportunities.

These postponements came one day after rioters lit the major roadways across Guyana, disrupting the lives of ordinary citizens while breaking and looting business places. As a result, the President of Guyana has committed to ensure all those who participated in the mayhem are brought to justice. The Minister of Home Affairs has declared a nationwide curfew between the hours of 12:30am to 5:00am.
